I just renewed my NIS subscription and am unclear as to what version I have, 2009, 2010, or 2011. Where do you find this information? It's not available on any of the NIS menus and not in my resubscription email confirmation.
I initiated the renewal process from the NIS menu under "renew now". I did so with the understanding I would obtain the newest software. Now I'm thinking that unknowingly I renewed my old 2010 software, but who knows, maybe it was 2009 software! I didn't see any reference to a choice to keep what I have or opt for NIS 2011. If there was a choice I didn't see it. I wanted a subscription for the newest software available. Why should customers pay $59.99 to rent old software?
I've been using NIS for three years and was very happy with the product. Now I'm wondering why Symantec isn't upfront with imparting full information. It's not located within the NIS menu or under information about my subscription on the Symantec site. Certainly they need to make sure the renewal process is perfectly clear. I'm angry and very disappointed if I have old software. I'd sure appreciate clarity on this.
