Just renewed my Norton AV 2009 subscription, so do I need to buy the Norton AV 2010 at it’s full price when it is relesed ?
Hi tasman,
With a valid subscription to NAV 2009, you will have the opportunity to update to NAV 2010 at no additional cost when it is released.
NO, You can update to the 2010 poduct at no cost (when it is released) at any time during your subscription period.
will I be notified or is there a place on there web site
Thanks for the reply all
Just keep checking back on the Forums. It will be obvious when it releases - you’ll be able to hear the cheers!!!
If you go to Symantec's main website, you'll immediately be confronted visually by the NIS 2010 product series in all its glory ;-)) The following might help, too; click on this link; once you have done so, and if you have got a current subscription, you simply have to indicate what kind of Norton product you have got on your machine, and you will be told whether there is an upgrade (in your case NAV 2010) and how to download it.
Hi tasman,
You can use the Upgrade Center for installing Norton 2010 upgrade soon after it's release. When you install Norton 2010, the Norton installer will automatically detect and remove the previous versions if it is present. When you install the update, it will remove your previous Norton 2009 and apply the subscription information to Norton 2010 program. After installing the 2010 program, run a LiveUpdate and then a full system scan. Let us know the results.

Thanks for the site
