Keep receiving "Browser Plugin Disabled" notifications

Hello,

Any ideas why I keep receiving "Browser Plugin Disabled" notification emails? Online Family seems to be running normally. I get about 2-3 such emails every day, and when I check the computer, everything seems to be enabled.

Thanks

I get the message "Vista Parental control has been enabled" which I believe tells me everything is OK including the browser plug-in (am I right?)

And then some time later the "Browser plug in disabled" message.

Can this plug-in be disabled by the child? Could this be what is happening even though the child may be just clicking on a pop-up prompt?

My problem is that the child is half a world away. I haven't set up remote login yet on the child's PC

If you installed Firefox 4.0.1, the incompatibility disabled the extension (though some features work despite this.) If that's the issue, go back to 4.0.0.

Hi tkg,

For the message "Vista Parental control has been enabled",  to avoid any potential conflict with other parental products, we recommend that you should turn off Vista Parental Control on the computer for Norton Safety Minder's Web blocking to work smoothly.

Thanks,

Katie

Thank you both for your replies. The browser is IE and OS Windows 7. I may have enabled Vista parental control before I bought and installed Norton 360. I did not realise there was a conflict; will remove this
