I have always disliked the way Norton/Symantec get feed back on the quality of their products. The Contact Us email option has pre-defined drop-down categories. Most of these selections REQUIRE information like your phone number (which you may not want to give) or a product key (which is not obvious under NIS2009 Help - About) or a LOT of other info. It's a real pain to Contact Them!
If your complaint does not fit one of the categories, tough luck. There is no "Other" option. I'm guessing they think their quality is great because nobody complains about the Other stuff.
One way to get your Other complaint noticed is with Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - NIS - Change/Remove. A pop-up question appears asking why your dumping their product. Vent, then just cancel the uninstall - or not.
What prompted me lately to do this is a recent Live Update that pushed a Norton Anti-Spam Toolbar on Outlook. If you move the toolbar it re-docks on the second line which bugs me. You can close it but it comes back like a bad nickel. I ended up permanently turning off Norton Email protection to get rid of that **bleep** toolbar. I was only scanning Incoming messages, and Blocked Senders works just as good if not better.
