Lack of options on false positives

I attempted to launch PSPad on my system a couple days ago (a well known freeware text editor). After clicking nothing appeared to happen. After about 30 seconds I get a red Norton popup that it has been quarantined. No options on the popup to do anything about it. From there I had to open the NIS interface and find the quarantine and restore and exempt the file. I find this unacceptable. I want the option before an action is taken to have NIS do nothing and submit this as a false positive instead of just deleting my file. Are there some options I am missing somewhere or am I just out of luck if this thing wants to remove my files? I have currently uninstalled NIS our of frustration. I would be more than happy with the product otherwise. What can be done here?
