Lack of Sample Submission Tracking for Norton V24

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my Norton to version V24 and have encountered an issue with the new false-negative/false-positive submission platform (Choose Your Sample Submission Type | Norton). After submitting samples through this platform, I’ve noticed that there is no provided tracking number, nor any email follow-up. This makes the process extremely opaque.

Moreover, the new platform asks for submitter’ email addresses, but despite providing mine, I haven’t received any email confirmations or updates. In contrast, the previous submission platform used for V22 would at least provide a tracking number which allowed me to check the status of my submission.

This lack of transparency is particularly problematic when it comes to false-positive issues. Without a way to track these submissions, users like myself cannot easily verify whether a flagged file is genuinely safe and can be excluded from detection.

I hope the Norton team can either respond to our submissions or provide a method for us to check the status of our reports.
