I was born, grew up and worked in a country which speaks English but now I live in France and can read and understand most things written in French.
However, I would much prefer to be able to read all communications that I receive from Norton in English, particularly because I am not familiar with information technology words in French.
The language in all my Norton applications are set to English but still whenever I receive an email from Norton or log onto a Norton website, the language is always French !
How can I change this so as always to communicate to and from Norton in English ?

Hello @DavidinParis
Welcome to the Norton Community!
To ensure that you receive Norton emails and view their website in English, you need to update your Norton Account region settings as well as your web browser display language , because Norton determines communication and webpage language from these two locations rather than the desktop software itself.
Step 1: Change Your Norton Account Region & Profile
Emails, billing notices, and direct communications are sent in the language tied to the registered country or region in your account profile.
Go to the Norton Account Portal and sign in.
In the top navigation, select My Account and go to Account Settings .
Look for the Personal Information section (or Name, address, and mobile phone ).
Click the Edit icon .
Update your Country/Region or preferred locale to an English-speaking country (such as the UK, United States, Canada, Ireland, or Australia). As stated by Norton Support , “Update your correct Country/Region and then click Update.”
Save your changes and review the Email Preferences section to ensure marketing and notification settings match your preferences.
(Note: If you have an active auto-renewal linked to a French credit card or French billing address, Norton may require you to contact Norton Support via live chat to manually override your communication language without affecting your local payment method).
Step 2: Stop Norton Webpages from Defaulting to French
When you visit Norton websites from France, servers read your IP address and browser headers, redirecting you to French pages (/fr/...).
Use Direct Region Links: Bookmark the English portal directly by visiting Norton Global / UK or Norton US. Look at the bottom footer of any Norton web page to find the country selector icon (usually a flag or a globe) and switch it from France (Français) to United Kingdom (English) or Global (English) .
Adjust Browser Language Preferences: In Norton’s Language Setup Guide , Norton notes: “To change the language of your Norton account page, you need to change the language settings of your browser.” Ensure English is dragged to the top of your list of preferred languages in your browser settings (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox).
Contact Norton Support via live chat to confirm your backend notification settings.
