Laptop start up difficulty

I have difficulty with starting laptop. Following windows repair and restore the laptop starts but has knocked out the virus protection. Norton then reloads these. Have to do this each time. How can i change this and stop norton affecting start up?

can you please tell us the exact version of your Norton product?
1. Open the main window
2. Click on Help & Support -> About menu
3. On the About window find the version number (it will look like this: 5.1.0.29)

 

Also please let us know which Windows OS and Service Pack do you have on the machine.

If you do not want Norton to start at System Startup, you can turn off Boot Time protection. Here is how you can do it:

 

1 Start Norton 360.

 

2 ClickSettings.

 

3 Under Detailed Settings, click Antivirus.

 

4 On the Automatic Protection tab, next to Boot Time Protection, move the slider towards side to Off.

 

5 Click Apply, and then click OK.
