The cute and pretty redesign of the Norton Identify Safe (NIS) application continues to be a frustrating and apparently useless change. And the navigation around the site just feels wrong and either un-intuitive or over-intiutive. I'll have to explain that remark later.
In my case, my problems with the current update might result from the basic problem that my laptop is so underpowered (Acer Aspire 5532; single-core AMD Athlon 64 TF-20; 1.6Hz; 3Gb RAM).
The point: Norton has customers out here who are not driving super-powered equipment, but your redesigns don't seem to be aware of us, or the designers just don't care and Norton management is unaware or likewise uninterested.. But my experience with NIS has been miserable since you pretty-fied the design, and that redesign seems to consume much more processing power than the last ones.
Since I installed this version, I have had to reapply for passwords and IDs for some online sites because this [expletive deleted] version has repeatedly responded to the sites' logon pages with the wrong information, and the sites have automatically "locked" my account so as to require that I reapply.
I like the general concept of Norton Identify Safe. But if no improvements to the functionality and the user interface are being made, I want to know, so that I can reluctantly rip it out and find some alternative app whose provider will be more willing to fill the needs of its users.
At least, explain why the new version of NIS persistently shows an incorrect notice that NIS is disabled on Mozilla Firefox 28.0 (see attached) It's enabled. But according to your designers it isn't, so I apparently have been operating without it for weeks, but apparently some mystery app is automatically filling in IDs and passwords routinely in the place of the "disabled" NIS...
