My annual subscription for NIS expires in a couple of weeks. I've had NIS for quite a few years and have been generally happy with it. One thing that has kept me coming back is the identity safe application. I was disappointed a year ago to see that it had become more intrusive with that silly (in my view) large rotating safe-like dial. It had been so clean and simple. More importantly, to me it has been less reliable than earlier versions. Often when I open FF, the bar says that the "vault is open" when in fact it is not. Sometimes I get a login prompt within the top bar that appears when you go to site that has a login. Other times, I have to open that full graphic to enter my vault password. I've found not rhyme or reason why I get one versus the other. Also at times, when I have multiple logins for a site, I am unable in FF to display the dropdown to choose a login. I have to close and reopen FF to make it work correctly.
So I'm wondering if there are any major changes / improvements / fixes for identify safe in the new version of NIS. I'm sure some of you must have already upgraded to the latest version. I'd appreciate any feedback you might offer.
I might well stay with NIS as I do think it's performed its security functions well, but reviews suggest several other Internet Security suites work as well or better ....
