A couple weeks ago my Norton 360 updated to the new release. I am having two issues: the first, when I try to launch my media player, VLC, my computer grinds to a halt. I cannot play videos. I wind up having to shut down my computer, restart and use the media player that came with Windows 11. This is the first time I’ve had this issue with any Norton product.
The second issue I notice is that scans take much longer than the previous version of Norton 360.
Any solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.

VLC 3.0.21 for Windows ?
Did you run one Full Scan?
I’ve noticed longer scans…too.
Caveat: I’ve set Smart | Quick (High) | Full (High) …scans to Run manually

What do you do with default Network Access Policy?
Apologies for not responding sooner. I simply uninstalled/reinstalled VLC, which appeared to fix the issue.
However, what I continue to notice are the slow scan times. This version is much slower at scanning my system than the previous Norton 360. I just did a full scan that took almost three hours.
