I was happy to hear that Norton for Mac has been made compatible for OS X 9, but unfortunately, I do not have a current version installed on my Mac - and the installer for the latest version WILL NOT allow an install on my GM version of Mavericks. Is this latest version available for download directly?
Problem is solved, thank you!

You can try to download and install Norton Internet Security for Mac (v5.6) or Norton AntiVirus for Mac (v12.6) on your Mac running Mac OS X 10.9 from the direct links.
Please let us know if this fixes your issue or if problem persists.
Thanks,
Lucky

Lucky:
I was able to download and successfully install the software from the link you posted, but cannot activate it; I am a Comcast customer, and the ID number Comcast provides for the software is not recognized by the newst version. Can you help, or am I forced to wait until Comcast updates its software?
Apologies for the dealy in reply.
At this point in time, Norton Internet Security for Mac v5.4 is the most recent download available to Comcast customers. There is a workaround that others can follow to avoid this situation; run LiveUpdate until the previous installation of NISM 5.4 is automatically upgraded to NISM 5.6, and then upgrade their Mac OS to Mavericks 10.9.
We will keep you posted when the direct download link on the Comcast website is updated with support for Mac OS X 10.9. You can refer this KB article for help around installation and activation of Norton Internet Security for Mac from Comcast.
Thanks,
Lucky

Also note that as of today, the current version for Comcast subscribers is NIS MAC 5.6, which is the Mavericks compatability release. Comcast customers on Mavericks can now go through the Constant Guard website and install NIS MAC on Mavericks successfully.
I downloaded through comcast and still can't install into my Maverick mac
Jay, I just responded to your thread on the comcast forums and sent you a private message over there. Please go check that out.
Thanks
