Issue abstract: Latest Windows 11 23H2 update uninstalled my Norton AntiTrack
Detailed description: When I installed MS KB5066793, the 2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems, and restarted my system, I found that my Norton AntiTrack (which had worked fine up until that point) was simply gone from my computer, a Dell XPS 8940. Its icon was no longer on my desktop or the “show hidden icons” part of my Windows tray, and it was no longer listed on my Windows Start list of programs. It appears that the Windows update uninstalled it. I suspect that this may be part of Microsoft getting ready to distribute the Windows 24H2 upgrade for 23H2 machines, since Microsoft will no longer support 23H2 after November 11, 2025.
Product & version number: Norton AntiTrack - I don’t know the version, since it vanished from my computer
OS details: MS Windows 11 Pro version 23H2 build 22631.6060
What is the error message you are seeing? No error message – the program (“app”) is just gone.
