@Bernard_Courbot Within your Norton settings check for your network being set at Public. If it is set it for Private in Norton and do the same in Windows settings to make them match. Reboot the laptop and recheck. Please let us know what your results are.
SA
Both Norton and Windows have network as private; I already checked it
I forgot to ask if your Norton install is version 25.11.10580 (build 25.11.10580.0). Also are there entries in the Norton history showing that Cast is being blocked? If so could you please post a screenshot for review? I am able to Cast but only to certain devices and websites from Opera GX on Windows 10 Pro without any issues, I am on the version of Norton noted earlier.
SA
I have the version 25.11.10580 just manually updated. I send you the screenshot of the history just after the reset, everything seems OK but always no cast with the firewall on
Anything new in the history area since your last post?
SA
Always the same, no cast…
Bonjour @Bernard_Courbot ,
The more I search, the more I see norton sitting on their hands. We are now 9 months from the date of this announcement. In my opinion norton has shown shameless lack of commitment to a fix.

Take note of the date of this post; Oct 2024. norton has had over a year to correct their firewall programming. Seems advertising upsell popups take priority over software function and customer service.
fwiw ~ last I heard:
Norton is aware of the Screen Cast blocked by Norton Firewall issue and the team is working on the fix.
