I'm not too fond of a backup program telling me what it THINKS I want to backup. Thanks Symantec, for your "help", but I don't want your "help". When I do a backup, I want the program to backup every file unless I tell it otherwise.
An example: When I check the properties on my computer for the C:\Users folder, I'm told I have 16,315 files. Norton Online Backup, on the other hand, tells me it has backed up 5,470 files on the C:\Users folder. Yes, I know that some of those files are temporary, but I'm more concerned that Symantec's default backup options are leaving files of mine unprotected.
Symantec needs to design the program to backup every file by default, and then make it easy to exclude temporary files, for example. Instead, it appears that one has to jump through some hoops to get the backup program to do what a backup program needs to do by default, and that's back up every file unless I, the end user, tell it otherwise!
