Hello, I want install my Norton Internet Security in my new Laptop IdeaPad Y700, but this machine came with the McAfee LiveSafe pre installed, I do not trust McAfee, so I want to uninstall it from my new machine, I've tried everything, I've even used it McAfee's own MCPR tool, but does not uninstall it.
I try disable this software, but many compamentes in SERVICES can´t stop.
From "Programs and Features" also does not work, it shows me the message that the "McAfee UI Host" stopped working, this I did with the Administrator user.
Have some idea how to remove this software from my new machine.
Please help me in this matter.
Expect your news.
Regards.

Like Krusty I'm surprised unless as he says you got an out of date tool.
Here's McAfee's detailed instructions
My tool of last resort, so long as McAfee appears in the list of installed applications in the Windows list of Programs, is Revo Uninstaller.
Run it on the most intensive mode.
You may run into a "gotcha" --
After the first stage which uses the normal Windows Uninstaller you may get a small or large screen saying you must Restart now to complete the uninstallation. DO NOT OK that and restart the computer. It may hide the Revo Screens so just hide it behind them/bring Revo to the front in the usual way and then use the Revo controls to continue.
If after Revo has done its work Revo tells you that you need to restart then do follow the Revo instruction.
Revo Uninstaller is free and from a very reliable source -- but beware of any third party sites that offer to download free software since they often come with hidden unwanted programs.
Hope that helps.
Please let us know what happens.
Was it the latest version of MCPR tool?
If you have already tried MCPR tool my only suggestion would be to contact McAfee support for assistance.
