Less than a minute to get to pornographic images

I hade read some good reviews of this software, so I was very disappointed to find out how easy it was to get pornographic images on my screen. All I did was 1) set the filter for a 7-year-old child 2) Search for a well known porn star (JP) on Google and then 3) Click on the Images tab. Easy peasy.

It was already set to strict in fact. I have raised this with Google and I believe they are going to look into this and (hopefully) make some adjustments.

Will you please let me know how to fix this or if it was ever fixed? I am in a similar situation as you, set up online family for 8 year old, typed male body part into google search and the images were all there. Thanks for any input.

Hi mac84,

 

If the category (or categories) of a website is selected to be blocked or the website is on the black list, even though the website comes up as a search result, the child will not be able to access the website.

 

For the individual image on Google, please select the option “Use strict filter” for Google’s SafeSearch Filtering under “Search settings”.

Unfortunately google isn’t blocking the images even with safesearch set to the stictest setting and being locked. Are there any ways to block images?
