I have a few laptops that are running Norton AV 2006. I would like to know where I can look up the expiration date of the subscription or license file. Knowing this info will help me in making sure I can renew before it expires.
I just wanted to let you know that you can update the laptops for free to NAV 2010 if your current license is still valid and hasn't expired and if your laptops meet the minimum requirements.
If you would like to do this, you can download NAV 2010 from this link, but don't install it yet.
You would have to run the removal tool 2 times with a reboot after each run of it and do this while you are disconnected from the net.
You then can install NAV 2010 and run live update and connect back to the net when it wants to. Run live update until it says there are no more updates and then reboot one more time.
Hope this helps and thanks for posting.
If you decide to buy a cd, you can use the link posted above since it will be a later version than the one on the cd and just insert the key from the cd box.
You can perform free upgrade to NAV 2010 only if you have NAV 2006 running in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later. If you are using NAV 2006 in Windows XP or Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows 2000, you won't be able to upgrade to NAV 2010.
The product you are using is a Symantec Corporate Product so you would be better going the the Corproate Forums here as they have experience of these products. This is the retail products forums.
Yes that information does help. It indicates that you have the Corporate version of NAV. To get the proper answer, you will have to register and post in the Corporate Forum. You can get there by clicking on this link.
