I have been experiencing the same attempts to sell more product via scan results. Another matter though I find more worrisome. In a radio ad for LifeLock, Norton claimed that if they can’t fix your issue they will refund your money. All of us are concerned with identity theft. But if you are unlucky enough to have it happen to you, the above ad is not very reassuring. I heard the add again and they were referring to LifeLock. This needs to be clarified as it would appear to me that they have changed their stance on how much there coverage is actually worth to each customer.
My understanding of that claim is that they will refund your money if they cannot remove a virus that has taken over your PC. And you must have auto renew to take advantage of that.
I think that Lifelock has some $$ coverage for identity theft based your level of coverage.
