The black and gold design as seen in the 2010 products is nice, but the 2011 interface seemed a little to dark/dim. Perhaps you guys could lighten it up some, that would make it easier on the eyes.

I don't like the blue theme; it's too cold for Home Users. Personally, I like the U.I., and I also like the black and yellow since this is symantec's colours.
I agree, the right side text should be just as white as the left side of the main GUI
We chose black and yellow since these are Symantec’s colors. of course we could lighten it up and still use these colors. With 9 votes, this is the No3 most kudoed idea so far. Let’s see how it evolves 
awesome, yeah I like the current color scheme pretty good, will be interesting to see what everyone else says about it. I think if they brightened the "ray" feature on there it would really lighten it up a lot. These recent norton products have had the best looking GUIs I have seen from any security vendor.

Something like that but with less black would be lovely.
I do love the black and yellow of Symantec but for me there is too much black in the themes.

I think the Default Theme should be left alone, and the other Backgrounds could be lightened or darkened, but I think the Default Theme - which am guessing is the Black & Yellow-Rays - is perfect.
I have found the interface to be a bit depressing the last couple of years. I like the Orchid best for the 2010 as it has some color to it. If the dark themes are staying, how about a flame job? Or some lightning? I used to think the yellow interface of older versions was a bit much, but I think I prefer it to the darkness of the current look.
I don't like black and dark themes,either. I think NIS should have new themes which have different colored backgrounds in addition to black themes. Also I like aero transparent windows. Some themes may have it.
I see that Norton main interface become darker year by year. And 2011 is the darkest, and I don't like the 2011's interface although I really love Norton. Yellow and White like previous version or lighter interface could be better.

It really would be nice a lightened Interface with Norton - that's something I wished for since 2010 version. How about one like Windows 7 colors and one in Vista Colors. different theme wich are changing the Interface Design. What about you add a GPU Acceleration to the interface effects. You could add Transperency and other effects to provide a better GUI. (Tipp: look at GDATA and kaspersky 2012' Line-up this products looking very nice) :)
