I'm wondering if someone could provide link to latest build of NAV 2012.

 

Also, would security be compromised if I continued running NAV 2011?

Over time you will be at greater risk. There are technology changes in 2012 that were not available when 2011 was built. Some of the dangers that are now were not then. 2012 is better equipped to cope with them. Is it perfect, no way. Is there something better, not that I know of.

I do like being safe and I do keep a free version of Malwarebytes scanner in a corner, current and ready when needed. Note I said 'when' not 'if'. You can get a copy here:  http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

There are a few other malware and spyware scanners that are useful but I won't try to clutter up your mind or computer with too much too soon.

         It will not affect the security of the Computer as long as you're Computer receives the latest Virus definition updates.  For the Time being you can use 2011, but to get enhanced protection You certainly need to consider upgrading to 2012.

 

And you can download the latest NAV from here

Note that the Norton links for downloading are not the absolutely latest versions yet eg you may download:

 

NIS-ESD-19-1-0-28-EN.exe 

 

when my current version is 19.2.0.10

 

This is because not all updates that cause a version number change are major upgrades and so come down via LiveUpdate.

 

So after you install you should run LiveUpdate manually a few times with a restart in between and it says that you are fully uptodate.
