Lion OS

I just downloaded LionOS to my MacBook Air and I keep getting separate Norton Firewall Messages which state:

First Message;

The computer "fd00:6587:52d7:21c7::1" is attempting to access awacsd on your computer.  Do you want to allow this connection?

Second Message;

An unknown service (port 4488) is starting on your Mac.

If you don't change firewall settings, the firewall will block connections from other computers to this service on your Mac.

Choices are then given to permit, block, etc.

I do not know if these are legitimate steps in interfacing the new Lion OS with Norton so I have continued to block the access on both of these messages.

Comments please.

hmmmm i dont get it?

Which version of the product are you using? Norton Internet Security 4 is not compatible with Lion. Norton Internet Security 5 is compatible with Lion, and should not show those messages any longer.

You can follow the instructions here:

http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-for-Mac/Problems-using-NIS-with-quot-Back-to-my-Mac-quot/td-p/397290

To get rid of these messages from the firewall, but you really should upgrade the product to make sure you don't encounter any other Lion-specific issues.
