I have Norton Mobile for Android. When using the link scanner, is there anyway to see all the URLs it scans? My phone keeps going to pages I didn't request, and I'd like to see all the URLs scanned in the past. Is there anyway to do this?
I am always up to admitting I'm wrong and learning from the experience. Can you guide me to viewing the Google contacts without restoring them to a device?
I agree, except for the fact that Google *does* allow you to view all of your contacts individually (and export them to files, as well). Also, since when are we comparing? Does Norton want to be Google?
Either way, both Google Takeout and Gmail both allow you to view all of your synced mobile/phone contacts individually.
Does Norton's "Contact Backup" allow you to view a list of your contacts if you lose them? I hope so, or I'll be complaining about that next.
There is no site to view the backed up information, if that is what you are referring to. You can restore the backups from the NMS app.
The Google backup for Android contacts works the same way. There is nowhere you can view the contacts independently.
Yeah, I got the threads confused… sorry about that.
I understand that, and that is why I gave a link to the Product Suggestions board.
I mean, the thing a lot of big companies don't realize is that, yeah, we know you guys have access to all the data we opt-in to give, but can you at least let us have a list of our own data since you guys do? (In this case, a simple list of URLs).

At least give us access to the data you have on us, since we let you collect it in the first place ;) Also, people may not be able to log some of their own data easily, while companies can since their software's already logging it half the time.
I don't think he was complaining link scanner didn't detect something, but rather that he would like to know what site directed him to the malware portal, or what the address of the portal was (that's how I interpreted it anyway). It just didn't seem like he was knocking it, but just saying it was a good recommendation.
When you were taken to the web site with a virus, did you tap on a link that Norton scanned before sending you there? The Link Scanner only works on apps outside of your browser. ie email app, or some other app that may have a link in a help file for example.
If you were using your browser when this happened, the Link Scanner feature would not be involved.
Norton is not keeping any log of Link Scanner scans that is accessible by users. It is a good suggestion to Norton Product team that there should be such log file for user. I was looking to executive courses from IIFT and a website with virus opened to my system. After that, I have removed malware but not sure where is the source that it keeps on coming back.
Can you give an example of a link that is scanned not going to the right web site?
I see no log of Link Scanner scans. This might be a good suggestion for the Product Suggestions board https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions
