Live Update Failed To Check For Some Updates

HI

As above it seems my 360 v3 with the new .11 update now wont update .

I have tried Intelligent updater and the support page which claimed to have corrected some update error but still doesnt work

Im on Windows 7 but before that gets blamed it was working perfectly before this update .

My virus defs are now 4hrs old and yes i know thats not long but ive never seen it that long before and as i say live update doesnt work anyway ........ so whats happened now that its not working ..... it works fine on my other Vista pc ....

:smileymad:

Thanks

This issue should be resolved now. We were made aware that some customers were not able to
connect to LiveUpdate. This issue is now resolved. Thanks for your patience with this situation.

Can I suggest that the problem was with the update to 3.5.2.11, rather than an inability per se to connect to the server. I also suggest that the updates were then pulled, allowing the servers to operate again. The position now is that users not on 3.5.2.11 and not receiving the update. I hope this position will be changed shortly but questions should be asked in the right quarters.

The additional problem for Norton 360 users is that liveupdate does not report the issue, it is only seen within log.lue. Something that I explained before and remains a difference between Norton 360 and say NIS.

My NIS 2007 was silent as a mouse, too. Simply wouldn't connect to LiveUpdate, but no notification box. Only the green status bar which remained static. Well, everything is working now, that's the important thing ;-)) Thanks for the confirmation that everything is back to normal, Tony ;-D

Yep all seems back to normal today .

Normal is relative if not subjective. You are lucky that you are on .11. For users not on .11 they will not in the UK be able to get the .11 at this time I suggest.

I am in the UK and 2 out of 3 of my pcs have .11 so am i just lucky ??.... the 3rd pc hasnt been on for a week or so so i dont know about that one .:smileyhappy:

Interestingly the 3rd pc which i just turned on to see as it doesnt get used very much doesnt have .11 after i updated it … still on .10 and by the way is also on Windows 7 .
