Live update problem with Mac

Hi I have been running Norton Security successfully for several months on my MacBook Air. Now ,last 2 weeks)the live update is mostly in red and Security in red. Clicking the Fix now button makes no difference.

I have shutdown 3/4 times and no difference. Help? It is annoying and frustrating - any common experiences and ideas most welcome.

What i do is to put Sierra on first and backup my computer  and then install nortons and do a backup only if norton went on correctly.

When you have one of the  problems  that nortons have you can get back on quickly with this backup.

Had that problem before and the only way i could fixed was to use my backup.
