I am running NIS 2011. I've ran into an issue on my Windows XP machine where after about 24 hours of reboot, i am unable to run the live update. It starts and then on the "Check for Updates" it just sits on processing. If i cancel it, the same happens, it starts to cancel and just says processing and never finishes. I then have to restart my computer, at which point i can run live update fine. I can even run it multiple times. The problem is 24 hours later, i cannot run it. I started noticing this when after about a week my computer would be on, and then i would see a red X on my NIS icon on the task bar saying definitions are out of date, and i would try an run live update, which would not complete.
I've reinstalled multiple times, and the problem still happens.
Suggestions?
