Can someone explain to me in 3rd grader terms why Live Update MUST run on boot of computer every time and slow it down to the point of no usage for 20 minutes? If I can schedule a scan when I am not trying to actually get work done, then why can I not schedule Live Update? Oh, I know "it's not enough to keep on top of...........", seriously, that's the ONLY excuse? Then why do we live in a world of trojans getting through anyway? I had to live today alone (more the rule than the exception) of no less than 2 HOURS of Live Update garbage. It ran. Then my Norton try icon showed the orange exclamation point, so it ran again. Then because my computer pegged out at 100% CPU and 140MB PF and wouldn't come down any, the system was rebooted only to have Live Update run AGAIN!!!
I cannot even install Norton SystemWorks now because, after booting 23.5 minutes ago, I am still getting "cannot be installed because Live Update is running".
