I received an alert that my anti-virus protection was out of date. When I open up Norton Internet Security (had 2010 version but it let me upgrade to 2011 for free) and try and run LiveUpdate i get the following error message: "Unable to connect to LiveUpdate server. Please check your internet connection."
My connection is fine, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Norton. I have no idea why it just decided to start acting like this. Granted I only have 23 days left on my subscription, but that shouldn't affect its ability to auto-update. I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 home premium and have iObit's Advanced System care and Spybot installed and in use on my computer. Could it maybe be something relate to one of these?
Also, I have a 2Wire router with AT&T DSL. It had to get reset a while back, but that was well before the last time NIS was updated (which said 6 days ago next to LiveUpdate). Not sure but maybe the router is blocking it?
Any help is appreciated.
