LiveUpdate Fix in Progress

I have many issues and Norton refuses to help. Right now I've had a "fix in progress" for a week now and I'm not even sure I have service/protection. I even did a remote session that only made things worse. Ever since I downloaded Norton 360 my computer has been screwed up and I'm about to cancel. Please help

I had the same problem, and have now resolved the issue.

I also recently renewed Norton, choosing Norton 360. I had the same 'Fix in Progress' message for several days, this happened after I had selected the 'Fix Now' button on the home page. I suspect the virus scanner became 'stuck' somewhere in the process, and constantly picked up where it left off when my laptop was switched on again - i.e. it picked up and got stuck again.

I took the following steps:

Opened Norton homepage and ran Live Update. After downloading and installing 3 updates, a message came up informing me that a Patch was available. I applied the patch, and then immediately ran a 'Quick scan'. When the scan finished, the problem was resolved.

Hope this helps.

Tim Williams 2,

I don't think Norton is refusing to help. It's just with the current state of affairs, most of their Support Call Centers are operating either on limited staffing or have been closed by Government Orders to stay at home as are many other business world wide.  I'm sure Norton has shifted some of these operations to other call centers but, this increases the loads on those that are still operating with limited staff.  Please be patent.

In the mean time, if you could provide some details as to what issues you're experiencing, I'm sure someone on these Forums would be happy to try assisting you with them.

First, I'd recommend posting in the appropriate forum dependent on which Norton Product you're using, such as:

Norton 360 | Secure VPN

Norton for Mac

Norton Security | Norton Internet Security | Norton AntiVirus

Other Norton Products (related to Norton's other Product line such as Norton Utilities)

Please see this link

I'd also recommend providing the specific product name and its version ID along with what the type of system your using it on and its OS in your post.
