LiveUpdate for Norton Security Suite from Comcast

I reformatted and reinstalled windows and Norton. I'm currently using WiFi as i can't use a wired connection because I don't have a long enough cord and my dog will chew it up and my clock is the correct time.

Is there by chance another computer in the house that is in the router location running norton with no problems?

I would really try a direct connection if possible.  It must be easier to move the tower, keyboard, and monitor temporarily than re-installing everything.

Unplugging the router and modem for a couple minutes to reset them may or may not help if it is a problem with the settings or the driver or something else, you could try that as well.   But it would be nice to be able to establish one way or another if it works or not with a clean installation plugged directly into the modem.

I don't believe there is another computer in my house thats running Norton at the moment. The only other person that would be running Norton is my sister but she hasn't been home for awhile. I have a feeling that maybe I need my host name for my router but i can't get a hold of it. I thought it would come automatically with my Comcast internet. I've also tried unplugging the router and modem for a couple minutes to reset it but it didn't fix my issue with Norton. I have no clue if it is a driver issue or not. Everything else works, but not the anti-virus updates. If you got any other ideas, please let me know
