LiveUpdate issue in Norton 360 installed on Android Mobile

Hello,
The Liveupdate setting in Norton 360 installed on Android mobile doesnt have option to run Liveupdate on Mobile Data, it only shows option to run Liveupdate on Wi-fi only…due to this issue I have to daily manually press the Run Liveupdate by going into the settings options, because it wont update automatically.
Why the option of downloading Liveupdate on Mobile Data not provided?? So it can download on its own…I dont use Wifi ,continuously connected to mobile data only…

SONAR is the online definitions already noted above that is used by the mobile app.

Malicious apps are caught before or during installation on mobile devices. So no need to have a feature to block traffic.

I'm not sure the other features you want are available in other mobile security apps. But you are welcome to post your feature requests in the Product Suggestions forum board.    https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions

SONAR,
Heuristic Protection,
Rootkits and stealth items scan,
Tracking cookies scan,
Block traffic for Malicious Applications,
Intrusion Prevention,
Smart Firewall,
Norton Antispam,
Norton Tamper Protection.

Windows versions have many more options/settings because a Windows app can use as much memory as it wants. Mobile OS's are more restrictive in the resources available to an app.

What options do you feel are missing from the Android version?

What I do understand from your reply is that Norton definitions for mobile app is approx once a month and not daily, we can rely on Norton online definitions as the primary source if we are continuously conntected to the network.(cell or wifi). The are so many options available when we install norton 360 on windows OS that we can control. The norton 360 mobile app is very limited to options and needs a overhaul.

That setting is only there for those with limited cell data plans, so that LiveUpdate would only run when there is a wifi connection and saving cell data use.   So even if you do not manually run LiveUpdate, it will eventually run on its own using your cell data.

If you have checked the Activity log, you will see that LiveUpdate is not finding any new files most of the time it is run. Last I checked definitions were only updated every 3 to 4 weeks. This is because Norton is relying on online definitions as the primary source. Downloaded definitions are used when there is no network connection available, whether cell or wifi.    Here is an older thread that explains this.   https://community.norton.com/en/forums/no-definition-updates
