Hi, I'd really appreciate some help with this issue as it's happened about 12 times in the last month, and no one seems to be able to give me a clear explanation or a solution.
LiveUpdate doesn't like to run by itself, even though the option to make it auto-run is checked. So, I have to run it myself. Every time I go to do so, it starts up and then never completes it's session. No, there is no error message, and no, nothing happens. The loading bar just keeps saying "LiveUpdate is in progress" and it keeps on processing and never gets anywhere. When I try and cancel, it won't let me, so I have to open task manager to stop it, which ends up turning off my entire Norton Internet Security program. The consequence of that is, once I go to restart Norton, it never works, causing me to download NRnR and re-install my entire program.
The last time this happened, NRnR failed completely and my subscription was messed up and downloads failed and I had to have a long, arduous remote-control session with a Norton employee who had to install a brand new Norton for me from halfway across the world.
If there is any way to get LiveUpdate to complete without failing, or to cancel without messing up the entire program, I'd be very happy to hear the solutions. Thanks.
[This is what it does for ever.]
