Having used Norton software for about 20 years I am instinctively quite a loyal user. I have hesitated to switch from local vault to online vault for two reasons. 1. security 2. offline access to manage passwords. I have been willing to trust Norton on the former issue (security). However I enquired about what happens to our local vault data if we switch to online vault. My concern is that I do not want to be totally dependent on access to the online vault in case of breakdown in server access. With a local vault I can in fact check and manage passwords even if there is no internet connection. The Norton chat support today told me that once I switch to online vault, all these local functions will be impossible. It is unacceptable to me that Norton take away all independent access to my own password data. Can anyone tell me their views and remedies for this?
