Hi friends,:smileyhappy:

I am planning to travel to Europe and want to gather information on How to before I get a problem.

My NMS is a purchased version 2.5.0.384 used in Saudi Arabia - I would like to use it in Europe (Germany, Austria and Belgium)

Reading through the community I found many out-dated answers. Hope to find more positive answers now.

1- I have to replace my SIM card with a new prepaid one, is this still an issue, where this action will block my phone? Or is this issue solved? What to do if it dose not work?   What if I change the phone itself (device) if I buy a new one.

 

2- I could Not download the Add-on for my SMS Anti-Theft because it is not available in my country, would it be possible to download it in Europe (during my stay) and use when I am back to Saudi? 

I know my questions are a bit strange but maybe some of the community members have a helping idea for me.

As for the Sim switch, it dose not look very bad for me. I still hope the download works also. Otherwise I have to wait until it is available here in SA. :smileyhappy:

 

Just tow hours ago I upgraded my NAV 360 on my PC to the new version: 6.0 ? This upgrade includes a NMS names: Norton one,

I can download it as an extra from within the N360 ver.6.0. and it says: This app is currently for use with an invite-only Pilot program, and is not yet available for the general public.

I think it includes the Anti theft but there are only 2 bad evaluations on it, I do not dare to be a test person at this time, I'll wait until it is more stable.

Unfortunately Norton One is US only for now.  

 

As to swapping SIM cards, you can go into settings and uncheck the SIM card lock.  That should allow you to swap SIM cards out without the device locking.  You might want to re-enable this after you swap the SIM card out though.

I would assume that all other function will than function as usual (scream. Locate a.s.o).

But why are some additional Anti-Theft Apps always restricted to the US?

The rest of the antitheft functions will indeed continue to function no matter where you are.  

 

Norton One is actually a beta service right now.  The reason for limiting to the US for now is to work with a small group to work through the kinks.  It is after all in Beta.  

 

Norton AntiTheft is not limited to the US.  Not having the plugin available in Saudi Arabia (by the way the plugin is not SMS based, SMS AntiTheft is built into NMS) may just be an oversight.  I'm going to double check on this.
