Logging IM Conversations

For some time NOF has not given me any logged IM conversations for my kids. I thought it might be that they had stopped using IM. But today when looking at the help files I noitced this:

 

Note:Instant Messaging monitoring is not available in all regions

So I would like to know:

1. In which regions is monitoring not available

2. Why

3. Is this something new

I'm sure that a more detailed answer will follow, but here's the short answer. 

 

When Norton Online Family  started to become available outside of the US, The IM monitoring functionality has been changed to reflect compliance with European Privacy Laws.

 

This relates to our european customers in select countries only. IM monitoring for US customers has not changed.
