I have just started using Internet security 2011 and I have a problem with a particular Web site.

On there login page there are 2 forms.

1 register as new user.

2 login as registered user.

When I access the web site Norton enters my details in the register as new user, not the login as registered user.

This did not occur when I was using Roboform.

The Web site concerned is Deals Direct.

Hi Macca,

You are most welcome. :smileyhappy:

I asked for your version number to make sure you are fully up to date on NIS - and you are. :smileyhappy:

Best wishes.

Macca,

When you go to the site, BEFORE, attempting to login are both options visible? Is it possible to isolate the 'registered' user login area from the new user so that you can train Indentity Safe to complete the correct form.

Just a thought in passing

Hello Dick

Both options are visible on the logon page.

When I setup the login I used the registered user login to do it, however the new user form is used when returning to the site.

Macca,

Sorry, don't have a solution to that one. Also, please be careful about posting live links. They can cause problems.

Hi Dick,

I've reproduced this problem with the website in question. I am not able to find a work around. I have tried removing the entry after initially registering and then filling in the returning user information and letting ID safe save the information. It still continues to fill in the NEW user section instead of the registered user section.

I also tried removing and re-adding the information by hand - same problem.

The link to the website is not a problem, this website is showing Norton secured. :smileyhappy:

Best wishes.

Allen

Allen,

Thank you for confirming that there isn't a fix currently:smileywink:

Might be something that the staff can work on for a future release - call it job security

Hi All,

Sorry about filling the wrong form. I can assure you this is *not* job security :smileysad: ! Far from it- we want to deliver perfection.

For what it's worth, we significantly redesigned and rewrote much of Identity Safe for NIS 2012 (and N360 v6), and I see that the login form is filled with NIS 2012 beta, so this should be resolved by upgrading (for free) when the new version is released. In the meantime, we'll look into this for the current (2011) version.

Hi jlatino0,

And here I was thinking that every time we were able to break it, you'd have to go back to work and fix it :smileywink:

We all know that the computers aren't perfect, the programs aren't perfect and the users aren't perfect. So we all have a ways to go and for me the journey has been great to date. Keep trying and I'll try not to be too trying

HI jlatino0,

LOL. Seriously though, being a software engineer myself I know exactly what you mean. Perfection is always the goal. :smileyhappy:

Best wishes.

And I'm just a hardware tech who knows just enough to be dangerous.

I've been having the same issue for at least a week now.  I generally unlock my vault with a fingerprint on my phone, but lately I have to first sign on to my main Norton account, receive the text unlock code number, enter that, THEN it sends the unlock request to my phone.  This happens absolutely every time I close and re-open my browser, even if it's for just a few seconds.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I wonder whether this has anything to do with this issue that so many users are seeing? PWM is also having similar issues on Chrome presently.

Cheers
