Pleas provide more details to enable us to hazard a guess. Did you uninstall/reinstall, reformat, restore to an earlier time, or something else entirely?
Hi DHS13,
Did you check your system clock to make sure it is accurate?
If so, then also click on Support > Subscription status so that NIS will communicate with the Symantec server and see if that resolves the problem.
Also provide other details requested by Delph.
Best wishes.

Hello DHS13
Welcome back to the Norton Community Forum
Did you by any chance just renew your subscription by entering a new key? If you did that, then any remaining days would be lost and your countdown would start from 366 again. If that is the case, then you can get back your days.
At this poin though, we are all guessing without more information from you. If your time is wrong on your computer and you reset the time and then it becomes wrong again, it is possible that you would need a new Cmos battery on your mortherboard.
These are just some more possibilities of what may have happened.
Thanks for ll the ideas. NIS was installed in Sept. of 2010. I corrected the problem by uninstall NIS 2011, then waiting 4 hours and then re-install NIS 2011. Since I saved all my settings, I didn't have to type in the key again.
I hope that this is my last time that I will have this problem.
Thanks again for the help.
