Lost Icons and Cable connection

Installed Norton internet security 2009 onto my Vista Laptop after which the right hand browser icons dissapeared (i.e the clock etc.) also I  now cannot connect to the internet through my cabel connection, any comments or other probles with 2009?

Thank you for your reply, I have tried restarting the lap top several times, reinstalling the norton may be the answer but I would be intererested in trying to reset the failed settings first, would you be able to advise how best to do do this?

The best way would be to try a system restore to before where you originally installed  NIS09.

Have you checked the status of your connection in the Network and Internet Section of Control Panel?

 

If there is an issue, you can try the built in diagnostic tool.
