I just purchased a WD Elements removable harddrive for the purpose of making a copy of my existing drive using Ghost ver 14.0. The drive installed fine and was assigned letter J: After one hour the copy failed. Two additional attempts failed. Now I have a perfectly operating harddrive that my operating system, Vista Home Premium, no longer recognizes. Disk management does not see it. The device manager does see it but there is no letter assigned to it and I cannot access it.
Does anybody have any ideas how to find this drive in my system so I can use it as a back-up drive. After three tries I am certain that Ghost 14.0 cannot copy my drive as a mirror image.
