I got my HP Spectre in November last year (2012), brand new with factory installed NIS. I didn’t get time to register NIS, in the interim my partner did something to the laptop for which I had to take it to nearest HP authorized centre to get it repaired. HP had to run recovery & restore the OS to factory image. I clearly remember my NIS having 2 years of activation when I first bought the laptop but now it only shows 11 days remaining. How can I get my activation period back? I have paper work to prove laptop repair. Please help?
