I installed the trial version of Norton Internet Security 5 (Norton Antivirus Version 12.0 254) on my iMac running OSX Lion (10.7.1 11B26) and I encounter the following issues:
Liveupdate does not update the virus definitions, the Vulnerability protection and the and the definitions needed for Anti-Phishing protection. Nevertheless, the software indicates that it has been updated at the time I ran Liveupdate. Reinstalling the software does not help, no firewall is blocking the connection ...
I tried to install manually the definitions through the website, the installer runs, at the end I get an incompatibility message warning, the installer informs me that the definitions are up-to-date, but Norton Internet Security says that it is not up-to-date.
I am out of ideas regarding the updates!
I also skipped the activation during installation. Now I would like to enter the product key, but cannot, as the necessary window dows not appear anymore, neither after reopening the product, neither after restarting the computer. What am I doing wrong?
