The process LUCOMS~1.EXE gets initiated every 30-60 miniutes. The I see multiple instances of LuCalBackProxy.exe. These processes take an extreme amount of CPU for up to 15 minutes at a stretch. My computer becomes unbearably slow, to the point that I am sometimes unable to use it. How can I prevent this from happening?

If your current version of Norton Internet Security is 2008, it might help to upgrade to 2008.5
I have an updated 2008.5 Norton Internet Security on my Windows XP Machine. Still I have this problem. Esp, when I start my computer in the mornings. Any suggestions to resolve? Thanks in Advance.
swasar,
Yes, that is too long a time period and the although you haven't listed the amount of CPU usage, it should not be extreme.
