In order to keep track of my Live Updates in Windows 7 I want to be able to find my downloads and be sure that they have all been installed. I understand that there should not be any zip files present if they have all been installed.
Where is the correct location of the LiveUpdate folder / Downloads in Windows 7?
I have searched for LiveUpdate on my system but it doesn't find anything other than my Norton shortcuts.
I did a search for Downloads and it found the hidden folder .......
C:\Users\All Users\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\NIS_19.1.0.28\Lue\Downloads.
But I have the latest version of NIS 2012 engine 19.2.0.10 so why has the Lue/Downloads version not been updated?
Within that file are 21 zip files dating from 1st, December 2011 to today and I assume that they have not been installed.
Is this issue something to do with the LiveUpdate failures that everyone is experiencing?
Should I just delete the zip files or should I delete the whole folder as it is the wrong version?
I also see that there is a further batch of downloads in .........
C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\NIS_19.1.0.28\Lue\Downloads
This whole LiveUpdate thing is getting so confusing.
Can Norton staff or a technician please help me unravel it.
