Mac Boot Question

Hi Guys,
I hope you have come to the new year well.
I was very sick for several months.

Since switching to the Mojave operating system for Mac,
In between, there are very long start times for the boot process.

Has anyone had the same experiences since the Mojave operating system appeared?

I can only imagine that it is due to the external HDD, which I have connected via USB. This is sometimes not shown in the Finder.

Only a repair in the safeboot helps.

many Greetings, Berlin

Please forgive, my english.

i am looking for similar info and unable to load Character count  fully sometimes

You're most welcome.

Cheers

Hi,

thanks for your Answer,

the Setting your are asking for i cant see in Norton for Mac. The Mac - Version is here a littlebit different.

Your Idea is right. Its maybe an Treiber Problem.

Sometimes the Boot is normal. I think it will be fixed in the next Month.

All the Best

Hello stuby, welcome back to the forums. I would disconnect the external drive just to check whether that is causing the issue first. I'm not a MAC person but my suggestions are checking to see if you're Norton product is set to perform network scans. More overly, what boot time scan setting do you have (if its available for MAC) ? If the setting is present set it to normal. An aggressive setting does cause issues on SOME Windows machines so I'd think it could be similar for MAC.
