Mac OS X issues updates?

This is a general "how come we don't get notified when there is a new version for our platform?" question really. 

 

I had to turn off time minding for the kids laptops and use the OS (on Snow Leopard) which is annoying as we have to keep logging into their machines to give them more time or change their general settings.

 

This was because the Mac would be unusable when their time ran out - I had to force shutdown the computer with the power button down for 4 seconds. Has this issue been fixed yet? Can I use this feature again?

Hi rvowles,

 

Norton Online Family releases and installs updates on users' PCs through Automatic Update.  The latest Norton Safety Minder version for Mac is 1.3.1f107.

 

 

The time limitation issue has been corrected and will be included in the next version.
