So you don't know what file it is?

First of all it is advisable to upgrade to the latest 2008 version.

Second of all please try the following.

 

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Please download SuperAntispyware from Here , the free version will do the trick

Double Click superantispyware.exe to install the application.
  • Just download it to your desktop, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Check for updates" just to be sure you are fully up to date
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Scan your computer", then click Perform complete Scan .
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, Superantispyware will show all the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Hi Stu,

 

I followed your instructions and it is fixed now. The first program "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" program found 0 threats, but the second "SuperAntispyware" found about 40 Adware Tracking Cookies and removed them. After it was done I had to reboot my pc and now it is not doing the printscreen snapshots anymore. I hope that the snapshots didn't go out from my pc. I noticed this problem about 5 days ago when I did Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V it was pasting the whole screen image instead of what I selected.

 

Thanks a lot you saved me from lots of frustrations and worries. I am surprised that NIS with the latest virus definitions was not able to do that and a free program did it.

Unfortunately NIS can't catch them all
