hi
not sure how to post on other threads and the like
my norton just picked up a virus that iv never heard of before
typically i googled it and could not find it either which is suprising
to cut it short, id assume that this is not a new virus even tho i cannot find
any details on the norton site or anywhere on the web
it was called "fxstellar.exe"
it was detected by SONAR
so im thankful as it installed 4 files,
1 registry entry, 1 file, 1 process, and 1 browser cache.
so i am assuming this is a variation of a trojan designed to replicate itself through contacts on a host computer then remove personal information to an external storage place.
i received it from a friend through msn as a link. the person had not been on previously for a couple of days
hence the self replication. Norton applied a red high risk under all areas, performance, privacy, removal, and stealth.
I realise i am totally wrong and probably have just written a load of **bleep**. but if not or any one would like to give me some more information regarding this virus, or correct me, email me at as i havnt worked out how to work this norton forum thing (lol n00b)
cheers, jordan
