I am using NIS v21 . Since April , I have downloaded some infected files and NIS has dismiss them. I uploaded them to virustotal.com , https://submit.symantec.com/websubmit/retail.cgi , threatexpert.com  . Today , my NIS is up to date (lastest definition)  but  it always dismiss that infected files when I used on-demand scan function .

Norton does detect them as WS.Reputation.1 for now

I understand that . However , WS.Reputation.1 does not represent a specific class of threat

It doesn't really matter it is detected, would you like it not detected at all??

 

Some sort of thing happens with other detections (slightly different)  like trojan.gen, or Bloodhound......  until the are specifically given a family.
