Manual verification for site created using Google Sites

Hello,

 

I need some help verifying a church website created using Google Sites.  It can be found at www.cumcballston.org.

 

Given that Google does not allow me to create a blank page with just the code or to upload to the Root Directory, I created a templated page with the Norton verification code.  It resides at www.cumcballston.org/nortonsw_b9f5a700-87a8-0.

 

Finally, once verified, can delete the Norton code page I just created or if I should leave it there?
