I have a three-computer license for NIS -- currently installed on two desktops and this laptop. My laptop is starting to have some display issues and I'm considering replacing it. Is there a way that I could transfer my existing license over to the new laptop (which would then become one of our three NIS-protected computers), or would I have to buy a new copy of NIS for the new laptop?

No problem in transferring a licence from a disabled / no longer in use by you PC ....
If you have NIS 2012 installed I believe you can do this yourself via the Norton Management Applet that is listed under in Norton Applets in the top menu bar of your MyNortonAccount.
I know you can use this to give your different PCs user friendly names too.
But if you have a problem or aren't using NIS 2012 yet then just contact the Norton OnLine Support via the CHAT route as below and they can sort out the database.
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.
You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
Please let us know how you get on ....
Just remember that on your new PC you will almost certainly get a trial installation of some security program that may or may not be Norton and may need to be cleaned out with Windowa Remove Programs as well as with a special tool most security programs make available.
So let us knoiw what comes on your new PC before you try to install NIS on it .... we can also give you a download link that may save you some on line updating after installation ....
